Abstract
Purpose : To measure and analyze the each effect on aniseikonia caused by various kinds of spectacles.

Methods : Subjects participated in this study were 41 adults with no eye disease wearing spheric and aspheric lenses on a dominant eye, consisting of different design and refractive index from +2.00 D to ?2.00 D at 1.00 D interval. The amount of aniseikonia measured by Awaya aniseikonia test was quantitatively analyzed.

Results : The amount of aniseikonia increased with the center thickness(p<0.001) and, high front surface power(p<0.001), but decreased with the refractive index(p<0.001). The amount of aniseikonia in aspheric lenses was lower than spheric lenses. In correlation, the amount of aniseikonia with the center thickness was the highest, following by the front surface power and the refractive index in order(p<0.001). In causal relationship, the amount of aniseikonia with the center thickness was the biggest factor(p<0.001), following by the front surface power(p<0.010) and the refractive index in order.

Conclusion : To correct the aniseikonia with general spectacle lenses, it would be helpful when considering the relation with the amount of aniseikonia and the factors of spectacle lenses to decrease the amount of aniseikonia.
